Visit to the National School of Magistrates

On 23-25 May 2018, in the framework of the EU funded project – “Project – “Strengthening Judicial Training through Twinning”, the Director of the High School of Justice – Mr. Lasha Maghradze, the Deputy Head of the HSoJ – Ms. Ketevan Kvinikadze, the Chairman of the Chamber for Civil Cases at the Tbilisi Court of Appeals/Member of the Council of Teachers of the HSoJ – Mr. Merab Gabinashvili, Judge at Tbilisi Court of Appeals, the Chamber for Administrative Cases/ Member of the Council of Teachers of the HSoJ – Mr. Shota Getsadze, were on a study visit to the National School of Magistrates of France (the City of Paris). The aim of the visit was to get information regarding the French model of developing and implementing the in-service training programs for sitting judges.

In the framework of the visit the members of the delegation conducted meetings with the Deputy Head of the ENM and the representatives of several departments. The delegates also attended a moot court in the Court of Appeal of Paris which was carried out by the sitting judges in the framework of their internship program.

The project is funded by the European Union and its duration is 18 months.
