Topical Matters of Intellectual Property Law

On 21-22 July, in the hotel “Radisson Blu Batumi”, a workshop on topical matters of intellectual property law for judges is held with the support of the High School of Justice (HSoJ), United States Department of Commerce, Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP).

In the workshop the invited judge-experts are: Judge Bernice Donald - Circuit judge in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and Oliver Schon – judge of Munich Regonal Court.

The partner organizations of the event are: National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia “Sakpatenti” and Georgian Copyright Association.

During the opening of the event, the participants were welcomed by: Director of the High School of Justice – Lasha Maghradze; Chairman of the National Intellectual Property Center “Sakpatenti” – Nikoloz Gogilidze; Deputy Chairman of the Georgian Copyright Association – Mirian Kululashvili; Representative of the US Department of Commerce, Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) – Skip Mark.

In the framework of the event, the experience of the United States and European Union on Intellectual Property protection will be shared with Georgian judges.

The event is held annually since 2014 and it is participated by 27 judges.
