Latvian expert Anna Skrjabina presented the document dedicated to the analysis of state obligations to the representatives of High School of Justice of Georgia at the meeting organized on October 13, 2017, in the framework of the EU funded Twinning Project – “Strengthening Judicial Training through Twinning”.
In 2014, with the support of the Council of Europe “Developing the Capacity of the High School of Justice” Project was implemented, which was financed by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Netherlands.
The High School of Justice has had a long and fruitful cooperation with Project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) – “Judicial Independence and Legal Empowerment Project” (JILEP).
School of Justice with the support of the Reserve Fund of the President of Georgia implemented the Project – Strengthening the Capacities of the LEPL High School of Justice.
The primary goal of the project was to improve the quality of justice through the effective training of Judicial Candidates, sitting judges and judicial officers.
The High School of Justice has had a long and fruitful cooperation with Project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) – “Judicial Independence and Legal Empowerment Project” (JILEP).
The Cooperation of the High School of Justice with German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation (GIZ) includes in-service trainings for sitting judges as well as preparation of judicial candidates. The High School of Justice, in cooperation with GIZ, has developed a training curriculum on the Relation Method. Almost all judges in the field of civil law were given the opportunity to undergo in-service training on the aforementioned subject.

In the framework of the EU-funded project “Support to the Reform of Criminal Justice System in Georgia” (being implemented by Austrian organization „Human Dynamics“), the High School of Justice conducted in-service trainings for sitting judges on the following topics: Reasoning of Judgements, European Convention on Human Rights, Juvenile Justice, etc.
Cooperation between the United States Department of Justice (DoJ) and the High School of Justice includes the area of in-service trainings for sitting judges.
In 2014, the High School of Justice deepened its cooperation with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the United States Department of Commerce. The cooperation includes the area of in-service trainings for sitting judges and organizational development of the High School of Justice.
The High School of Justice, in cooperation with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), developed a training curriculum on juvenile justice, based on which the School has already conducted in-service trainings for siting judges. School’s trainer – sitting judge as well as psychologists were involved in carrying out the trainings.More
Cooperation between the High School of Justice and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) includes the area of in-service trainings for sitting judges.
Cooperation between the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and High School of Justice includes the area of in-service trainings for siting judges.
In 2014, the High School of Justice deepened its cooperation with the International Labour Organization (ILO). Cooperation includes the area of in-service trainings for sitting judges.
Cooperation between the High School of Justice and International Organization for Migration (IOM) includes the area of in-service trainings for sitting judges.
Central and Eastern European Law Initiative Institute (CEELI Institute) supports the countries in transition to ensure the growth of professionalism of the judicial system personnel. Within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed with CEELI Institute, the High School of Justice has already conducted International Judicial Workshop on the issues related to combating corruption. Joint activities of the similar format are planned to be carried out in the future as well.
