On March 15-16 and 17-18, in the scope of collaboration between the High School of Justice and the Council of Europe (CoE), two sessions of training on the European Convention of Human Rights and Application thereof were held for judges and assistant judges.
Ana-Maria Telbis, the Managing Director of the European Human Rights Association (EHRA) / CoE human rights expert and Besarion Bokhashvili, a human rights officer of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights were invited as experts to the seminar.
30 judges from the Supreme Court of Georgia, Tbilisi and Kutaisi Courts of Appeal, Rustavi and Poti City Courts, Zugdidi, Tetritskaro, Samtredia, Sokhumi and Gagra-Gudauti, Akhaltsikhe, Gori, Zestaponi and Bolnisi District Courts attended the training.
It is noteworthy that participants of the training had registered therefor through the web portal of the High School of Justice.
The trainings were envisaged by the 2016 In-Service Training Program of Judges and Court Staff.
