Developing curriculum on the topic of violence against women and domestic violence

On October 20th, the High School of Justice held the first workshop of the experts involved in the development of the curriculum on the topic of violence against women and domestic violence. The process is implemented with the support of the project “Strengthening the Capacity of the High School of Justice of Georgia” supported by the Council of Europe (CoE) and United Nations Women’s Organization (UN Women).

Georgian judge experts and UN Women’s local expert are involved in the development of the curriculum. The aim of the meeting was to identify matters to be considered in the development of the curriculum, develop the training module agenda and initiate the process of preparing materials. On the next stage a content-related training will be held for the involved judge-experts, guided by the UN Women expert. Curriculum will be used in the frames of the “Training program for judges and other court staff”. Trainings on the named topic will be delivered by the Georgian judge-experts involved in the development of the curriculum.
